W Krainik General Store and Hotel

Back in Bohemia, Mr Krainik became a resident of the United States when a lad ten years old.  He has now been a resident of our city some 22 years.  In 1872 he established the hotel business which he now conducts and in 1889 started the general store.  This is a 2-story brick 25 x 56 foot and one of the best buildings in the city.  Both of the hotel and store are managed on business principles so receive their full share of public favor. Mr Krainik takes quite  an interest in our municipal affairs and is now serving his 2nd term in the Council where he is active on some of the most important committees. He is also one of the Executive committee of the Bohemian Turners. Mr Krainik is well liked by he fellowmen and occupies a position of more than ordinary prominence among them.
