In 10/1843 assigned to Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties. holding services on alternate Sundays at each place. Two stations in Manitowoc county four in Sheboygan and two in Washington county. Traveled long journey through the forest on horseback. A class of 11 memories at Manitowoc of which P P Smith was one. Meetings were in the upper story of B Jones's warehouse, in the summer and in the winter with Lighthouse Keeper Johnston a Baptist. After 5 years absence reassigned to Manitowoc in 1849 holding services at the Rapids courthouse and in Schoolhouses in Two Rivers and Manitowoc. Also small classes at Neshoto and Riley's and Mishicott. He boarded with Henry Edwards and built a parsonage with his own hands. Later agent of American Bible Society and pastor at Fond du Lac and Sturgeon Bay retiring in 1874.</text>
