Hoyer Brothers- Tailors
Title
Hoyer Brothers- Tailors
Description
This business was founded in 1864 by Mr Charles Hoyer, father of present owners. It is now the leading house of the kind here, and as such not only draws a large trade from the city and country but from all over the Northwest. Both copartners, Charles and A H Hoyer, are practical and skilled cutters who were not only educated in school for the purpose but served an apprenticeship under their father and grew into the business from boys up. Their store which is owned by them, is 25 X 75 feet. This is arranged especially for this business, making one of the best stores of the kind in the state
This compromises both foreign and domestic makes in the most fashionable patterns. The good reputation these gentlemen have, they have earned by establishing confidence between themselves and their trade in this way. They never allow a suit to leave them which does not fit. They make it up in style and the goods are always exactly as represented. They employ only the best workman, and their prices are the lowest for firstclass work. In other words they look to a permanency in trade, rather than temporary profits. As a result they have a constant trade which comes to them every year. They employ 12 tailors. Charles and Albert Hoyer compose the firm. They conduct their business on the strictest principle of mercantile ethics and their success is merited.
