Admitted to bar 1848, by Judge Stowe with Mr Kyle and Colby the other two pioneers attorneys. Born in Green Bay 08/26/1826. Died there 12/09/1906. Postmaster at Rapids after he came there in 1847 having been admitted to the bar that year. Removed to Green Bay early fifties. Was mayor adn circuit judge there. In Green Bay after 1851. Register Deeds Brown County. Circuit Judge 1872-1879. "I never spent any part of my life so happily as at the Rapids down in the hollow among the hills, with a little settlement of whites and Indians camping all around us."</text>
