Fred C Borchert

Title

Fred C Borchert

Description

Proprietor- Northwestern House

This is one of the leading hotels of the city and is a large brick structure containing some 30 sleeping rooms. These are models of neatness. One of the features of this homelike hose is the polite and affable attention on the part of everyone connected with the house. It is this attention which has given it a regular trade, which appreciates the fact. The table is the very best, the landlord leaves nothing undone to procure the freshest and best that the market offers. This is served with the utmost taste and cooked to a degree of perfection. The hotel is electric lighted and steam heated and its office and reception rooms make it a cheerful place to stop. It is in the enjoyment of a fine patronage which it has justly earned by reason of the excellency of its management. Mr Borchert, th owner, bought this property in 1894. He was for 17 years prior in the employ of the N W R R where he met and made many friends which since he has engaged in a business catering to the traveling public has proved a great help to him. His list of friends and acquaintances is very large and he is of that popular make up which well fits him for this kind of business. Mr Borchert belongs to both the K of P and S of H.
