Description
Born in Stitt Center, New York on 08/27/1821. Attended Castleton VT Academy, later went to medical school. Married in 1850. Came to Waukesha in 1852 and stayed there until 1855. Taught music in Manitowoc and liked town so much he moved here in 1855. Was the princioal at North \side School from 1856-1861. Resigned to become paymaster in the army at St. Louis. Came back to Manitowoc in 1865 and started a drug store. Ran for County Superintendent but lost in 1869. Was a doctor by profession but did not practice. Died 06/18/1882.
