Description
Came to Manitowoc from Lodi in 1860. Candidate for County Judge in 1861, but was defeated by Pierpont. Lectured before Young Mens Literary Society. Taught south side school in later 60's. Delivered 4th of July oratation in 1860. A studious man, but not much success as a lawyer although he won first case in State Suprerm Court wherein local lawyers personally appeared. Taught school in intervals of law practice.
