Born Rochester NY 05/03/1823. Studied law with B F Angell minister to Sweden and admitted to bar in NY. Married Lydia A Gardner 1852. Came to Two Rivers 1856. C Canfield his lumber partner in mill called Pierpont & Company. Elected county judge 1861-1865. Helped unearth Fluessenich scandal succeeding him as county clerk. Editor of Two Rivers Chronicle. Cousin of Edward Pierpont minister to England under President Grant. Son of Reverend H B Pierpont. Died at Two Rivers 05/09/1890
